High Profile Deep State Conspirators and The Minion Media

Three times since June, high profile witnesses, including deep state “Russia Hoax” conspirators testified in front of Congress and the “Minion Media” went apoplectic promoting other stories to dominate the national narrative.

  • 19 Jun DOJ IG Michael Horowitz testified in front of the House Intel Committee About His Report on the Hillary Clinton server investigation
    • On 15 Jun media hysteria over child separation at the border blew up and overshadowed Horowitz.
  • 12 July Disgraced FBI Agent Peter Struck Testified, followed on13 and 16 July by his disgraced Justice department lawyer lover Lisa Page.
    • On 16 July the Trump Putin Summit sent the Media into orbit.
  • 28 August Disgraced ex. Justice Department #4 in command Bruce Ohr testified
    • McCain’s passing on 25 August provided ideal opportunity to bash President Trump. Nothing cooked up here, but over the top, week-long coverage fitting the death of a sitting President dominated all media to the exclusion of Ohr’s testimony.

Do You Remember the Hyperbolic Coverage?

First came the border hysteria. President Trump was blamed for enforcing the law. President Obama’s administration separated children from their parents, without protest. The double standard is undeniable.

Next came the Trump/Putin Summit. Democrats would only have been happy if President Trump had started a war with Russia. I’m no fan of Russia, or Putin, but America needs to get along with them. Far better to find common ground than to go to war. The “collusion” lie cooked up and spread by the democrat party formed their outrage’s foundation. Here’s the real reason behind the collusion hoax.

Most recently Senator John McCain’s passing, and unending love fest (from the very people who tried to destroy him in 2012’s presidential campaign) gave pretext to avoid Ohr coverage that would damage the Russia Hoax narrative.

Each over the top democrat party/”Minion Media” frenzy corresponded with testimony on the Hill. Sure, it’s possible these are coincidences, but with each event, that becomes much less likely.

Now, the Nation is waiting for President Trump to declassify and order the release of critical documents, including un-redacted pages from the FISA Warrants, that reporters like Sarah Carter claim contain damning evidence of FBI/Justice Department coordinated corruption and efforts to frame Donald Trump.

What will the media use as cover to overshadow potentially the most important news story of deep state treachery in our lifetimes? Hurricane Florence is ongoing. Democrats and the “Minion Media” successfully attacked George W. Bush for federal Katrina response, so no doubt they will try and create armageddon from Florence. They will seek every potential angle to damage President Trump’s administration. Mark my words!

The President is best served holding the release until after the storm passes. Don’t give the media an easy out. The American People must hear the full story of the conspiracy involving the DNC, Hillary and her Campaign, the Obama Administration, and swamp treachery. We have clear evidence of a deep state black operation fitting of the KGB orchestrating a Central American coup, here in America!

Fascism vs Progressivism

Fascism

The American left loves to slander President Trump, and by extension any Trump supporter, as fascists. Progressive democrats project their actual history onto republicans and conservatives. They rely upon the fallacy that both fascism and Nazism are right wing ideologies as the foundation for their charges. Marxist organizations like ANTIFA even have the gall to claim that they stand against it, and are the judges of who is and isn’t a fascist.

Take for instance the below “Googledictionary” definition of fascism, which as we will see, is totally biased and inaccurate as it to labels fascism “a far right movement”:

“Noun/faSHizem/

An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization,

An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization
(in general use) Extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice”6

The evolution of fascism is the key to understanding where on the ideological spectrum it truly falls. Fascism sprang from Marxism and socialism, where fascists then competed against communists for followers from the same pool of radicals. Fascists evolved from Marxists and radical socialists who concluded that Marxism was a failed philosophy. They

Saw fascism as the way to save socialism. Marx was wrong, workers were not rising up on their own (workers in Germany and England were doing well, and seemed happy), they needed to be organized and pushed into revolution.”5

Fascists were the organizers who stirred revolution in contests with communists. As part of that struggle, communists claimed that fascism was right wing in order to discredit it, but the truth is that fascism is a totalitarian, authoritarian, left wing radical ideology, and the antithesis of anything right wing.

NOTE: Saul Alinsky’s teachings, foundational to the progressive movement, follow the same plan. Alinsky coined the term “Community Organizer” to describe those who stir revolution.

Definitions of Fascism:

1. “Fascism is a religion of the state.”
– It assumes the organic unity of the body politic
– It longs for a national leader attuned to the will of the people
– It is totalitarian in that it views everything as political
— Any action by the state is justified to achieve the common good
— It takes responsibility for all aspects of life, including:
—- Citizens health
—- Citizens well-being
—- Seeks to impose uniformity of thought and action (by force or through regulation
and social pressure)
– Everything, including the economy and religion must be aligned with its objectives
Any rival identity is part of the “problem” and therefore defined as the enemy”1

2. State-run Capitalism.2

3a. “A political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
3b. “A tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control”6

Tree of Statism: Common Roots Drive Common Goals

Fascism’s Ideological Evolution:

Jean-Jacques Rousseau (28 June 1712 – 2 July 1778): “The Father of Modern Fascism” Conceived of the “Theory of the general will” which formed the intellectual foundation for all modern totalitarianisms.

“Individuals who live in accordance with the general will are “free” and “virtuous” while those who defy it are criminals, fools, or heretics.” He “Sanctified the sovereign will of the masses while dismissing the mechanisms of democracy as corrupting and profane.”1

Maximilian Robespierre (6 May 1758 – 28 July 1794): A student of Rousseau, and a leading figure in the French Revolution (which became a template for totalitarianism).

The French Revolution was:

  1. “A nationalist-populist uprising
  2. Led and manipulated by an intellectual vanguard
  3. Determined to replace Christianity with a political religion that glorified “the people”
  4. That anointed the revolutionary vanguard as their priests
  5. And abridged the rights of individuals.”1

Italian Dictator Benito Mussolini

Benito Mussolini, Italy's Fascist Dictator; Born: July 29, 1883, Predappio, Italy Died: April 28, 1945, Giulino, Italy

Benito Mussolini (29 July 1883 – 28 April 1945): Ideological contributions (Key elements from his 7 volumes of Marxist/socialist theory).

  1. “Everything in the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.”
  2. Believed “totalitarian” as a positive term, actually coined it: “the state took care of everything and looked after everyone.”
  3. Sought an Italy where state maintained complete control over all aspects of the lives of Italians.
  4. “Everything was “fair game” if it furthered the ends of the state.”
  5. “Demanded that party members (Italian Socialism) renounce religious marriage, baptism, and all other Christian rituals.”

6. Tapped into the “religious fervor” of the French Revolutionary model, the state is the religion, and Mussolini was the Italian state.

7. Fascism is definitely and absolutely opposed to the doctrines of liberalism (Classic Liberalism i.e. Conservatism) both in the political and economic sphere.”4

There were countless other political philosophers, strategists, writers, agitators, organizers, etc. who contributed to building fascism, yet they all had one thing in common:

“All of the leading figures in the founding of fascism were men of the Left.”3

Italian Philosopher Giovani Gentile

Giovani Gentile: "The Karl Marx of Fascism"
Giovani Gentile: "The Karl Marx of Fascism"

Giovanni Gentile (30 May 1875 – 15 April 1944): “The Karl Marx of Fascism”. His main philosophical contributions.3

  1. “Man is naturally at home in community, in society.” He was a communitarian.
  2. He despised classical liberal democracy (i.e. capitalist democracy; the democracy of America’s founding); Promoted “true democracy” in which individuals willingly subordinate themselves to society and to the state.”

A slogan from Obama’s 2012 Democratic Convention:Governments the only thing that we all belong to.” fits perfectly with Gentile’s teachings.

3. Leaders and organizers are needed to direct and channel the will of the people, who are too slothful and inert by themselves.

4. Society and the state are one and the same. As such the state is unaccountable (above) to the citizens. “Morality and religion…must be subordinated to the laws of the State.

5. The government should teach, through the schools to advance it’s values and priorities. Statism and collectivism defines fascism and Nazism.

Progressivism

The above elements of fascism share significant traits with American progressivism, which some call “American Fascism”. The most significant,

“Everything in the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state”

can’t possibly be confused with the conservative principle elevating God Given liberty and individualism above the state.

President Woodrow Wilson (Democrat)
President Woodrow Wilson (Democrat)

President Woodrow Wilson – Democrat (December 28, 1856 February 3, 1924): Has been described as a proto-fascist, in addition to him being known as a flagrant racist. (Link to Woodrow Wilson racism)
According to Liberal Fascism:

  • Wilson disguised his fascism by calling it progressivism, a term not widely used until after 1909.
  • He stated “The essence of Progressivism was that the individual marry his interests to the state.”
  • He wrote “Bismark’s (Germany’s Otto von Bismark) welfare state was an “admirable system the most studied and most nearly perfected’ in the world.”
  • He believed that society could be bent to the will of social planners.
  • He established the American Protective League. The APL was a semi-official organization of citizens that spied upon other Americans. At its zenith, it consisted of over 250,000 members in over 600 cities. The APL intimidated, threatened, detained and violated the rights of countless America Citizens.
  • He heavily influenced Herbert Croly, who adopted Wilson’s Presidential example as dogma. Wilson created an all-powerful Executive Branch of government while minimizing the legislative and judicial branches, in harsh contrast with the Constitution’s establishment of co-equal branches.

Herbert Croly (January 23, 1869 – May 17, 1930): One of the most influential American Progressive/Liberal authors. He literally wrote the Bible of progressivism7 “The Promise of American Life” in 1909, defining progressivism and liberalism from his day through to the modern progressive/liberal movement. His key elements of progressivism/liberalism, which completely align with fascism:

  1. Mobilize society like an army
  2. Call for spiritual rebirth
  3. Need for “great” revolutionary leaders
  4. Reliance on manufactured, unifying, national “myths”
  5. Contempt for parliamentary democracy
  6. Non-Marxist Socialism
  7. Nationalism
  8. Spiritual calling for military expansion”

9. The need to make politics into a religion
10. Hostility to individualism.”1

Last Know Photograph of FDR
Last Know Photograph of FDR (fdrlibrary.org)

Franklin Delano Roosevelt – Democrat (January 30, 1882 – April 12, 1945): FDR brought in many Woodrow Wilson administration officials to fill the ranks of his administration.

FDR greatly expanded the powers of the presidency, granted by a democratic Congress, and would have gone further if not for court challenges.

FDR’s foundational program The New Deal, was known at the time to be remarkably similar to the economic programs of both Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany.

“The broad-ranging powers granted to Roosevelt by Congress, before that body went into recess, were unprecedented in times of peace. Through this “delegation of powers,” Congress had, in effect, temporarily done away with itself as the legislative branch of government. The only remaining check on the executive was the Supreme Court. In Germany, a similar process allowed Hitler to assume legislative power after the Reichstag burned down in a suspected case of arson on February 28, 1933. (p. 18).

The Nazi press enthusiastically hailed the early New Deal measures: America, like the Reich, had decisively broken with the “uninhibited frenzy of market speculation.” The Nazi Party newspaper, the Vlkischer Beobachter, “stressed ‘Roosevelt’s adoption of National Socialist strains of thought in his economic and social policies,’ praising the president’s style of leadership as being compatible with Hitler’s own dictatorial Fuhrerprinzip” (p. 190).8

– Wanted to create an “extra-constitutional private army” out of the American Legion. In a radio address FDR told them he wanted to be “A new commander-in-chief under the oath to which you are still boundI reserve to myself the right to command you in any phase of the situation which now confronts us.1

– American Legion considered itself an “American Fascisti” for a time, under FDR’s influence, it was a turned into a quasi branch of the FBI used for spying.1

– FDR used the FBI and other federal government agencies to spy on his critics at home.1

– He build a 2.5 million young man Civilian Conservation Corps, work program very similar to those set up in Germany and Italy, all used similar arguments for why they were needed.1

Barack Obama wanted to do something similar but more paramilitary. He never seemed to pursue it after becoming President. During his first campaign he said:

We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

– “The National Industrial Recovery Act of 1933 (NIRA) was a:

US labor law and consumer law passed by the US Congress to authorize the President to regulate industry for fair wages and prices that would stimulate economic recovery.

It also established a national public works program known as the Public Works Administration.

The National Recovery Administration (NRA) portion was widely hailed in 1933, but by 1934 business’ opinion of the act had soured. By March 1934 the “NRA was engaged chiefly in drawing up these industrial codes for all industries to adopt.”9

The NRA was established to administer NIRA and was led by retired Army General Hugh S. Johnson, an ardent disciple of Fascism. “As head of the NRA, he distributed copies of the Corporate State by Raffaello Viglione-an unapologetic fascist tract by one of Mussolini’s favorite economists.”

The program gave unions considerable power, which they used to block black Americans out of the workforce. Some black journalists called the NRA names like Negro Run Around, Negro Removal Act and Negroes Robbed Again.”1

The National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) was declared unconstitutional in May 1935 when the Supreme Court issued its unanimous decision in the case Schechter Poultry Corp. v. United States.1

– FDR tried to stack the SCOTUS when they shut down his policies. FDR effectively intimidated them into submission.

Was this President Obama’s intent during his state of the union speech where he directly challenged the SCOTUS?

– FDR broke with tradition since George Washington, and ran for a third term. Had he not died, would he have kept going?

– Finally, and perhaps most appallingly, FDR put over 100,000 American Citizens into internment camps.

Rising Fear

There’s an ominous new phenomenon in the United States and it is fear of our government. The world is being turned upside down by the progressive and ever more authoritarian Obama administration.  The double tragedy is that as we begin to fear the federal government here at home, our enemies have begun to laugh at us abroad.

We should be feared by oppressive regimes such as North Korea, Iran, Russia, and China, but instead they realize that they can effectively operate throughout the world without American opposition.  In a similar tragedy, there are many that are breaking the laws here in America that also no longer fear the United States.  Illegal aliens, who broke our immigration laws freely to come here, roam across the United States without fear that they will be held accountable for breaking those laws.  Not only are they no longer afraid, but they are even emboldened.  In rising numbers, they demand things from our government and the American people.  Despite promises to the contrary, illegal aliens are actively being sought by Covered California to sign up for Obama care, a program that legally they cannot participate in.  As an aside, I wonder how many of the enrollees that the Obama administration reports are actually illegals who should not be signing up at all?  We will probably never know.  Even if the government does, they certainly won’t tell us.  And that brings us back to fear.

Those of us who are American citizens have seen the erosion of our God given liberties and our protection under the Constitution.  We now have reason to fear the federal government! From IRS intimidation, proposals of new regulations that would institutionalize those intimidations and crush free speech, suggestions of FCC meddling in what stories the media is able to present, each day brings new examples of why we have reason to fear our government.  How long will this go on?  How many more liberties will we lose?  Is there a turning point where the American people will stand up with one united voice and say enough? We all need to pray that the path President Obama and the Democrat Party put us on is reversible.  We all need to pray that the Republican Party will stand against it and not surrender as they often do.

Since its inception the United States of America has been the single greatest defender of and hope for liberty here and around the world.  America’s form of government is the “exception” in the history of mankind.  I pray, as should you, that American “exceptionalism” doesn’t perish under this growing cloud of authoritarianism, intimidation and fear.

New Mainstream Media and Democrat Tactics

As if the mainstream media wasn’t partisan enough, there appears to be a new and even more extreme series of stories coming out that follow the lying lead of major Democrats. These are stories that aren’t just slanted or biased in the progressive direction, but are outright lies disguised as news stories.  Let’s take two examples.

First the recent New York Times story claiming that a video was responsible for the four Americans murdered in Benghazi. The absurdity of that claim, which was first concocted and spread by president Obama, Hillary Clinton and Democrats for nearly a month after the attack on 11 September, 2012 was proven false.  Not only false, but it was shown to be an absolute smokescreen, an apparent cover-up to protect the administration and Hillary Clinton. The second example involves an AP story, which claims that Obama care will not impact your job, your hours or your ability to keep them.  How that claim can be made is stunning.  Not only is it inaccurate, but it flies in the face of people across this country who already lost their jobs  or had their hours cut to part-time due to Obama care.  (Since I first posted this blog, the CBO released a report that highlights the terrible effects that Obama care will have on employment.)

Given the brazen nature of these stories, one has to ask if this is a new tactic?  Has the media decided that they must engage in an entirely new level of deception to camouflage the progressive agenda and provide cover for Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, etc.?

These new types of stories come at the same time that another very disturbing progressive tactic may be surfacing.  Dinesh D’Souza, a conservative filmmaker, was just brought up on campaign finance charges in the state of New York.  At the same time, conservative activist James O’Keefe is claiming that NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is targeting his organization with intimidation, similar to how the IRS went after conservative groups, and may still be at it.  As an aside, the IRS is now trying to change policy in order to institutionalize their ability to intimidate in the future as they did to conservative groups since Obama took office.

As a retired member of the military, we used to proudly state that although we might disagree with what you have to say, we would defend with our lives you’re right to say it.  Is this belief no longer alive in America?  Have we entered a new era of governmental intrusion and intimidation?  Has the left now taken so much power and become so brazen as to believe that they can wantonly target and destroy and potentially even imprison those that have the courage to dissent?

– This country needs to wake up!  Americans open your eyes!

Without freedom of speech, without the ability to speak one’s mind free from governmental reprisal, we are headed down the road to authoritarianism, and that path is a one-way street!

The Needs of the Progressive

Inside the Flame Nebula - NASA Image, May 7, 2014

Inside the Flame Nebula – NASA Image, May 7, 2014

An iconic line from Star Trek is the philosophy of the Vulcan People:

“The Needs of the Many, Outweigh the Needs of the Few, or the One”.

Most famously spoken by Spock as the reason that he gave up his life to save the Enterprise and her crew in “The Wrath of Khan”.

The Progressive philosophy in America turns this philosophy on its head:

“The needs of the Progressive Agenda outweigh the needs of the many, few or one”.

Recent American history is full of examples where a few progressives enact their agenda over the objections of the American People.

  • We were all told that 30 Million Americans didn’t have health insurance, so we “needed” Obamacare so that they could get it. But the law is causing between 80 and 120 Million Americans to either lose their health insurance or have it greatly changed. Considering the VA as an example of “Single Payer” a.k.a. socialized medicine, our health care system is being compromised to provide a piece of paper, insurance policy. When that happens, we all lose.
  • Immigration reform, as stated by all of its proponents, is intended to bring approximately 15 million illegal aliens out of the shadows, despite the fact that the majority of Americans don’t want them given amnesty.
  • The holy union of “Marriage”, the foundation of the family, has been redefined to suit the less than 3% of Americans who are gay, despite the 97% of Americans who aren’t. Equal treatment under the law is one discussion, redefinition of marriage is another.
  • Obamacare forces religious organizations to pay for employee contraception and abortions despite them both going against organizational religious beliefs.
  • One person complained about the United States Air Force Academy’s honor code, which included the words “So Help Me God”. Those words were made optional as a result.
  • Secularization of America, despite the deep Christian heritage of America.

The above list is far from complete. From the Progressive’s perspective, only their agenda matters, all else appears expendable.

Update:

NY Senator Chuck Schumer proved the progressive philosophy: “The third-ranking Senate Democrat noted that just about 5 percent of registered voters in the United States lacked health insurance before the implementation of the law, arguing that to focus on a problem affecting such “a small percentage of the electoral made no political sense.”

Wealth Redistribution Crushing to Young Workers

Wealth Redistribution Crushing To Young Workers

Wealth Redistribution Crushing To Young Workers

Barack Obama once told “Joe the Plumber” that his goal as president was wealth redistribution.  President Obama is sadly making good on his promise, and it is crushing to young workers, one of his strongest support groups.  Their typically meager incomes are being hit on multiple new redistributive fronts.

The most visible is due to the ever mounting national debt.  Just like an individual must pay off their maxed out credit card, the interest on the debt must be paid, but by this time by taxpayers.  The size of that interest payment is growing larger each year.

Debt Interest vs Defense Budget

Debt Interest vs Defense Budget

Past OMB analysis projected that the annual cost for these payments would exceed the Department of Defense budget in the 2017 time frame, and grows rapidly from there.  In addition to the interest, President Obama and the Democrat Senate continues to spend like drunken sailors (my apologies to drunken sailors for the comparison) and further increase the magnitude of the debt, and interest payments.  Young American workers are enslaved to this debt and will likely work their entire lives under high tax rates and never see it paid off.

Another massive cause of wealth redistribution is from Obama Care.  As in the case of Social Security, money is taxed from the young and throughout their lives will be used to offset the much higher health premium costs of the elderly.

“The Average Cost Of Single Coverage Premiums Has Increased By $1,180, From $4,704 To $5,884, A 25 Percent Increase.”   Kaiser Family Foundation.  Those costs will go to cover the premiums of the elderly, and constitute another wealth transfer.  Given that Obama Care is unsustainable, as is social security in its current form, the likelihood that any of this money will come back to them in the future is extremely remote.

As if Obama Care wasn’t bad enough, along comes immigration reform.  The Senate Bill, recently passed, should it become law, would cause employers to hire once “illegal immigrants” over American Citizens and legal immigrants.  Obama Care penalties and requirements would not apply to illegal immigrants once the bill becomes law.  Unbelievably, they would exist outside the scope of Obama Care.  As such, it would be cheaper for businesses to hire these workers, effectively redistributing their wealth to people who broke the law to enter the United States.  Young workers, new to the work force, are most at risk of losing opportunities since older workers have much greater skill sets, work histories and are already well established in the labor force.

Sadly, Democrats aren’t satisfied to just redistribute wealth within the United States.  They have long supported doing the same thing at an international level.  Wealth transfers from the US as a result of the Global Warming hoax is the first one, and easiest to prevent.

The pattern is clear, take from the young, and redistribute, redistribute, redistribute!

Political Sleight of Hand

Magicians use sleight of hand and miss-direction to confuse their audiences and create illusions of performing “magic”. Progressive politicians have long used a similar technique, or “sleight of mouth”, to confuse voters and create the illusion that they and their progressive policies are effective despite the ever mounting historic evidence that conclusively proves otherwise.

One of the most frequently used “sleight of mouth” techniques is to sell a policy by only discussing the first level of impact. Henry Hazlitt, in his brilliant, must read, book Economics in One Lesson described a similar economics fallacy this way:

“The art of economics consists in looking not merely at the immediate but at the longer effects of any act or policy; it consists in tracing the consequences of that policy not merely for one group but for all groups; what is seen, and what is not readily seen. Nine-tenths of the economic fallacies that are working such dreadful harm in the world today are the result of ignoring this lesson. Those fallacies all stem from one of two central fallacies, or both: that of looking only at the immediate consequences of an act or proposal, and that of looking at the consequences only for a particular group to the neglect of other groups.”

You can’t swing a dead cat in Washington without hitting one of these fallacies in action. A few examples, which happen either through ignorance, or malice of intent include:

  • Obama care (Nancy Pelosi’s statement that we have to pass it to find out what’s in it).
  • Raising the minimum wage (second order effects: results in fewer jobs and inflation).
  • Putting coal mines out of business to reduce carbon emissions (higher prices for electricity, and higher prices for products).
  • No need to drill in ANWR since we won’t get the oil for 5 years (but after five years we WILL have that oil flowing for decades and be less dependent on foreign oil).
  • Government spending creates jobs (government spending requires taxes which would have created at least as many and likely more jobs if not taken from people and companies for government use).

Never accept the first order of effects of any policy as the final answer. Look deeper to see what the logical second, third and fourth order effects are. To quote Rafiki from the Lion King, “Look Haaarder”! When the analysis looks this deep, most policy proposals will stop smelling like roses and start smelling more like rotten eggs.

Ammunition Defies the Law of Supply and Demand

Something is going on with ammunition in America that defies the Law of Supply and Demand. This article, from CBS4 in Pompano Beach, FL has a very ominous element. Itstates

“Ammunition sellers and manufacturers say there’s been a run on bullets and they can’t keep their shelves stocked.”

The article quotes Jeff Dillard who runs the National Armory in Pompano as saying

“We paid five times the price we would normally pay,” he said, adding that “it isn’t just ammunition running low, he can’t even get the parts to make bullets.”

The shortage of ammunition has been going on for many months. The Law of Supply and demand explains why the cost for ammunition has gone up, but it defies the normal progression of supply and demand that manufacturers are not able to increase their ammunition production in order to rake in the cash from the public’s insatiable demand. Not only is supply not going up, but quoting the report,

“Ammunition manufacturer Andy Delatorre says can hardly keep up with ammunition orders, but the shortage on parts has hurt his business so much he had to lay off four people last month. We have had to shut down 50 percent of manufacturing process. People are out on street without jobs right now. We just can’t find enough raw material,” he said.

Again, the Law of Supply and Demand should kick in with parts and raw material production increasing to rake in the cash from the ammunition manufacturers’ insatiable demand for supplies.

Why is this not happening? What is going on that is breaking the cycle of supply increasing to meet demand? Not only is this not occurring, but if manufactures like Andy Delatorre are actually laying people off and having to cut production in the face of overwhelming demand, then we have a reduction in production, despite the overwhelming demand. This flies in the face of Supply and Demand and a free market economy. Why? I don’t hear the question getting asked, and it certainly wasn’t asked in the article. Are there activities going on below the surface that we don’t see which are blowing up one of the fundamental laws of economics?

There are many stories documenting that the Department of Homeland Security is buying up massive amounts of ammunition. Are they also buying up raw materials? Is some other federal department hampering the ramp up and flow of raw materials to ammunition manufacturers? It may not have anything to do with the federal government, or new executive measures designed to curb firearm usage, but the media should be asking these questions. Sadly, I’ve not seen any stories looking into it.
